Kevin Kimle is an entrepreneurial founder, investor, mentor, professor, and public speaker.

He is currently a Teaching Professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University, Director of the Start Something Agriculture program, and a founder and co-director of Ag Startup Engine, an agricultural technology investment fund. He has written magazine articles, academic journal articles, case studies, newsletters, and a book on the structure of agricultural industries. He has testified before Congress and has spoken to public audiences around the U.S. and the world about entrepreneurship and innovation.

Prior to his 2009 appointment at Iowa State University, Kimle founded two technology-based startup businesses. The 2008 sale of the second business enabled him to begin the process of leveraging entrepreneurial lessons (or, more accurately, battle scars) into curriculum, research, and content for university students, faculty and administrators, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, and executives.

The Entrepreneur’s Ethic is Kevin’s first publication for a general business audience.
